Step into the uncanny valley as Jamage teaches the foundations behind Animation Dance! Learn about speed control and dimestops as a way of evoking robotics, illusions, and glitches within movement. This information will help you to take most dance moves and change their timing and texture, so you can dance to anything.

Grooves and Footwork Foundations Dance Workshop

This workshop is a class to teach those attending to develop and apply an understanding of foundational movement within improvised street dance. This workshop (presented through a popping lens) will give dancers of all levels and styles the opportunity to develop grounding in how to use and create your own grooves, and to actively move around in space with rhythm. This workshop will be a participatory panel, so please be prepared to use your body to be one with the funk.
