You are already aware of the history of the furry fandom, but when, how and why did furries get to be SO QUEER? In this talk, Arrkay from the award winning video series "Culturally F'd" takes a second look into the queer origins of the furry fandom. Our journey takes us through homophobia fueled flame wars, a convention described as a "pride parade on acid", all the way to litterboxes in classrooms. Together we'll peer into the past of queer and trans furry artists, marches, frolics and raves, and even some pre-fandom stuff just for fun.
Therian, Otherkin, and Fictionkin!? What do they mean and what do they have to do with the fandom!? Welcome to a presentation and discussion where we will cover just that! We will discuss terms, meanings, experiences and how the world of non-human identities intersects with that of furry.
Come and learn about the hobby of homebrewing and the many different forms it takes on! I will cover some of the most common brewing styles including beer, mead, cider, and Kombucha. You will also hear about my experiences to show how you can indulge in both the creative and scientific sides of yourself through while making something tasty. I am by no means an expert, but I think my stories and maybe the experiences of others will get you well on your way to making your first brew and having fun while doing it. Cheers!
