Model Railroading

Come play with my model trains or bring your own! This panel is perfect for all ages! Both children and the children at heart will find joy here. I have been in the model railroading hobby for the past 15 years and I will be bringing a selection of 3 rail Lionel Electric Trains from my collection of over 500 pieces. Come run my trains while you learn the unique history of these vintage toys and learn how they've stood the test of time.

Puppet Workshop: Hand Puppets
Join us for a beginner level puppet fabrication workshop making simple hand puppets with loads of personality! The panel will have supplies for 25 participants, and supplies will be provided on a first come first serve basis. Participants must be comfortable working with scissors and hot glue, but no other experience is required! Young children should be accompanied by a helpful adult guardian for maximum fun! Once we've finished creating our new puppets we'll start to explore some performance and character basics!

Puppet Workshop: Marionettes
Join us for an intermediate level puppet fabrication workshop making fun dancing scarf marionettes! The panel will have supplies for 20 participants, and supplies will be provided on a first come first serve basis. Participants must be comfortable working with pliers, hammers, and hot glue. This workshop requires fine motor skills as we'll be working with fishing line and knot tying. All children need to work with an adult guardian, as this puppet takes a bit of coordination to finish. Once we've finished our marionettes we'll put them through their paces in a funky Puppet Dance Party!

Puppet Workshop: SNOOFS!
Join us to sew up some fuzzy hand and rod puppets with tons of personality (and optional arms!)! The Snoof is a fun and free puppet pattern pioneered by Adam Kreutinger. This is an advanced beginners workshop for eager puppeteers looking to make a fuzzy hand puppet of their very own! This panel will have supplies for 20 participants and requires some sewing experience and the ability to work with hot glue guns. All children need to work with an adult guardian, as this puppet requires the use of needles, scissors, and hot glue. Get ready for a lip sync sing along at the end of the workshop to break in those new little critters!

Anthrocon Puppet Slam (18+)
"A showcase of short-form puppetry acts for adults! Each piece is performed by a different artist or group of artists, and the content ranges from hilarious to profound and everything in between. The performers include anyone from veteran professionals to first-time puppeteers. Come see what our furry puppeteers can do! Anthrocon’s Puppet Slam is being put on by the Furry Puppetry Group and will be hosted by the one and only Yve Badger!
This performance showcase is made by and for adults, so participants and audience members must be 18+!"
